ERPNext rollout for a distribution business
An illustrative example of replacing spreadsheets with ERPNext — sales, stock and purchasing in one system, with data migrated, staff trained and workflows automated.
Placeholder case study — replace with a real, permissioned write-up.

Illustrative example. This is placeholder content, not a real client project. Replace it with a real, permissioned case study before launch. See
README.mdfor how to add or edit a case study.
The situation
A distributor ran its sales, stock and purchasing across a mix of spreadsheets and a basic accounting package. Stock counts never matched the system, quotes were rebuilt by hand for every customer, and management reporting took days to assemble.
What we did
- Ran a requirements workshop to map how orders, stock and purchasing actually flowed
- Selected and configured ERPNext around those processes
- Migrated customers, suppliers, stock items and opening balances, with reconciliation
- Built item templates and price lists to speed up quoting
- Automated purchase-to-payment and sales-to-invoice workflows
- Integrated with the existing accounting package
- Trained users by role and documented each process
- Provided post-go-live support during the first full month
The outcome
The illustrative figures below show the shape of the improvement a rollout like this typically delivers. Replace with real, measured results.
- [PLACEHOLDER: stock accuracy improvement]
- [PLACEHOLDER: time saved on quoting per week]
- [PLACEHOLDER: reporting turnaround change]
- [PLACEHOLDER: reduction in manual re-capture between systems]
